What it can feel like

OCD can be unwanted thoughts, checking, washing, repeating, or mental rituals that steal hours. People are often ashamed and very good at hiding it.

How I work with it

Care usually means the right medication strategy and therapy that actually addresses obsessions and compulsions, not generic advice to relax.

The first stretch

We name what is happening without judgment, then decide what to treat first so you can get some of your day back.

A bit more

The content of OCD thoughts is often ugly or frightening. That does not make you dangerous, and it does not mean we have to treat this as generic anxiety. Naming it accurately is already a kind of relief.
